Welcome to the L-Rex demo study "forced-choice study"

This demo study illustrates a forced-choice study.

Let's assume that the research question is: do personal pronouns rather refer to the subject or object of the preceding sentence – e.g., in a text like "Peter called Tom. He was unhappy", does "he" refer to Peter or Tom?

This demo illustrates the following L-Rex features:

• Text formatting (boldface, italics) in the stimuli, using Markdown.
• Each stimulus has an individual question and an individual pair of responses.
• Balanced response presentation order: in 50% of the cases, the subject of the preceding sentence is presented as the first option (Peter/Tom), in the other 50% the order is reversed (Tom/Peter).
• Participants can optionally provide a comment.

For the purpose of illustration, you will see which item/condition is currently being presented in this demo study. Usually, this would not be visible to the participants.
